Is anyone tired of the constant attention that she is getting? I am sick of hearing her talk and seeing her on the TV and everywhere else. I am ready to get the substance of who is running for President, not Vice President.

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight. . . . If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different." Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story. If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim. Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick. Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable. Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded. If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience. If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 6,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive. If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian. If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian. If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society. If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible. If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's. If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable. OK, much clearer now.

Flus, 1st off all when I debate politics it is in no way personal to anyone ok.
I know you do not subscribbe to Christian beliefs or ideals. However to be Christian one recognizes that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and salvation. Obama claims he is Christian, yet states there are many ways to God. This is a direct lie as Christian. Thsi coupled with my problems with his policies I can no trust him.
Guess what I do not like the other camp any better but at thsi point in time I trust them more. At leats it aint W. Either way.

I am not sure where you get that we are not Christians, we are just not Christians like you. We do believe in God, just not organized religion. Our founding fathers felt that it would be a great idea to not mix religion with politics. Yet, here we are with a great big spoon swirling it around like witches in front of a cauldron screaming, if you don't believe like us then you are against us and on the wrong side. I can't for the life of my figure out if any of you remember bathroom abortions? Do you think for one minute if we were to ban abortions that they would stop them all together? Please tell me you aren't that naive. Do I think that abortions should be used as a form of birth control? NO. Do I think that there are circumstances where it would be appropriate? Yes. Will I hold a moral compass up to someone and tell them what is right and wrong. No. Sorry, that isn't for me to do. Do I like Obama and what he stands for? Yes I do.

I get that because over time I have seen statements from Flu that God of teh Bible does not exist nor does Jesus Christ. Thats where I am getting that from. Many occasions on the boards I have seen Flu speak out on the Bible and God's existance. I guess that is where I get that from.
As far as yor comment on abortion and such that was not the topic here nor will I get into that. You and I fit on that same page of thought but I am not being any more specfic than taht because it is not needed here.

It was written by a man, manipulated and twisted to point the masses in a certain direction. I think that as a guide to a way to lead your life it is a wonderful tool. But will I drag my bible and shake it at the world spouting gospels? No. The point is our religious beliefs are our own and should not be used to measure everyone else's. And certainly not used for political campaigning.
