Anyone care to share their favorites? I got a footlong corndog that was under a heating lamp for who-knows, but it was still exactly what I expected, greasy and good. Wife got a fresh-out-the-frier fried cheese-- same velvety velveeta we all know and love.

Sorry, I just noticed a pretty good thread going over under "amarillo area".

The huge roasted turkey legs at the fair are awesome...and you can make an entire meal out of one of them. But the fair is like a once a year indulgence...because you don't even want to think about the fat and cholesterol content of fair food.

I had lunch at the South Plains Fair in Lubbock today with some co-workers. Turkey leg and a corn dog. We justified it because it is once a year and we walked around while we were there.

Carp fair starts tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the Fritz Fries and Beaver Tails.

Beaver tails sound like something Granny would have cooked on the Beverly Hillbillies...
along with grits and hog jowls. ;D
