Sorry, I have to vent--What is up with our police? They speed through school zones, run red lights, but today, they take the cake.
I work on 3rd, right down the street from the police station, near a scrap yard, so there's lots of folks in old jalopies with junk hanging out illegally. Today, coming up from that underpass behind the old Santa Fe building, there were two guys in a tiny pickup, entirely too overloaded, lost some "flashing" while driving back up the hill, so they pulled over. A cop drove by, turned around, the driver of the pickup mysteriously disappears, and leaves another man behind (I guess to watch the "treasure"). There is NO license sticker on the pickup (it was on the dashboard, and the cop stuck it on the windshield for them), the guy has no identification, no license, but no ticket is issued! I guess what really makes me mad, is that he didn't follow them to the scrap yard, he let them go!!
While for me, I'm sure I'll get some random red light ticket off Pierce and 11th!!!
