Getting down to the short rows. There are at least five games that have serious playoff implications. Several that are moderate and a couple of playing for pride games.
Feel free to add games of your choice. Here is how I see things.
Amarillo Golden Sandstorm - Midland Lee….Bulldogs blow Sandstorms playoff chances.
MOJO - Tascosa…Surprisingly close game as MOJO defeats the Rebels by only 30 points.
Odessa - Coronado…Hoss battle as Broncos corral Mustangs.
Caprock - Pampa…The Harvesters get rocked.
Palo Duro - Dumas…Demons stay in playoff hunt as the Dons fail to extend their one game winning streak.
Randall - Canyon….How many visiting teams are hosted on their home field? Visiting team proves to be at home with win. Raiders over Eagles.
Frenship - Abilene Cooper…should be a heck of a game that will probably decide the championship. I've known Coach Brad Davis of Frenship since he wore shorts…come to think of it, he still does….I will go with Frenship.
Plainview - Hereford…Herd stampedes.
Lubbock Cooper - Borger…Pirates continue to sail toward championship.
Estacado - Dalhart…Matadors continue toward first runner-up.
Perryton - Levelland…game of the almosts….Levelland almost beats Perryton.
Bushland - River Road….game may be closer than some think. The Road plays tough but the Bush wins.
Fritch - Spearman….Spearman is ready for basketball. Fritch is tuning up for the Road.
Panhandle - Highland Park…I don't think the Hornets have their heart in it. Panthers tack on another W.
Childress - Friona…game that will have playoff bracket implications. One will be runner-up while the other will be 3rd place going into the play-offs. I will lean toward the Bobcats over the Chiefs.
Sunray - Canadian…it will be interesting to see how Sunray attempts to defense the Wildcats. The older and wiser Wildcats will adapt this time. Canadian marches toward a state title.
Stratford - Booker…Canadian last week, Stratford this week…the governor will designate Booker a disaster area Saturday morning.
Gruver - WT High…playing for pride, WT's proud 14 win.
Wellington - Wheeler…down the road apiece, these two towns should have a heck of a game. Wellington hopes to pick off Wheeler for a show down with Clarendon. I think they will do it
