I'd say that it's probably to the point where you might be able to buy a national brand of beef jerky in Walmart....for less than the local brand.
It's like you can go to Walmart and buy a dozen doughnuts...for like half the price of Donut Stop....and pick what you want...and get all big sweet rolls if you want...and they taste exactly the same to me.
You will almost always pay a premium price for buying local brands.
Of course what killed Krusty Kreme in Amarillo was...trying to charge double the price of Donut Stop...for smaller donuts.

I did not like Krispy Kreme........But I will not eat Donut Stop Donuts either...every since the lady was on Fox News saying Amarillo's economy is ok.......OK If you are her!!!!!!!

When I was out last night...I noticed Pak-A-Sak at 34th and Western....
Is advertising the $8.99 beef jerky price on their sign...like it's a big bargain.
