Congratulations to Coach Carthel and the Buffs on another strong season and post-season run. Despite the loss to ACU, we all are proud of another double-digit win season and appearance in the post-season. A special congratulations to 25 seniors who have had four years of success and post-season appearances.
Especially Charley Martin. A young man who was here for the tough times and gets to go out as the top WR in school and LSC history. Charley you are a great young man and role model for all athletes.

This counts as another successful very season for Carthel and the Buffs.... But I'm not going to beat around the bush. This was not a moving forward season for the Buffs. >>> This was a have to work hard to maintain position season.  Things have leveled off a bit...and we've hit a plateau...and need to evaluate things a bit. The last 4 seasons have been an almost identical record...and then an exit from the playoffs. >>> What is it going to take for the Buffs to get to the next level? We keep having good quarterbacks...but lets face it.... Offensive production has declined slowly every season since Lee Hays left. Offensive coaching staff needs to step up their act...especially since the WT defense doesn't always do their part...like Saturday. It's to the point with the WT defense...that we either need to get better players.... Or maybe the WT defensive coordinator will finally decide to step out of his dad's shadow....... >>> Whatever happens....adjustments need to be made to get the Buffs up to the next level. |
