They play the semi finals today against Borden County @ Lowery field @7:30 tonight. The winner of this one will play for the state title.

Yayyyy. I think this is the first time in years they have went this far....My best friend from high school has a son on that team! ;D

It will be broadcast on 106.1 KKYN Plainview. This team has already set school records. |

That is real cool...I am very proud of them...Are you going to the game IMO? we havent decided yet. It gets VERY COLD in that stadium. My highschool used Lowery field as their home field. Sat thru some mighty COLD games there in my high school daze. At that time, the field was flat, not the bowl it is now. Sat thru some mighty cold games with my kids, after it became a bowl. |

Well, Silverton played the #1 team in the state. They played with pride, sportsmanship, and guts. They made history by being the first team in the schools history to make it into the semi-finals. Even tho they were 45'ed in the third quarter, they didnt give up! They made this town PROUD!!
Am I a PROUD grandmother?, Youbetcha!! ;D ;D

Follett is in from here and tehy play Starwn next week. Strawns head coach was in Silverton at one time.
