Dusters unveil new colors, website
Amarillo, TX (12/16/08) – The Amarillo Dusters, as they prepare to play in 2009, unveiled their all-new website and team colors today.
Amarillo’s team colors will now be crimson, gray, and black, which closely align the squad with their sister hockey team, the Amarillo Gorillas. The Dusters play in the arenafootball2 league, which is unaffected by the recent news surrounding the Arena Football League.
“The new crimson color of the logo and the new black-and-crimson jerseys reflects unity and power, both on the field and off,” said Dusters Majority Owner Randy Sanders. “We wanted to continue our synergistic efforts in aligning both of Amarillo Sports Central’s franchises, and the change in logo color is another step towards that.”
Besides the alteration of the main logo color, no other changes were made to the previous Dusters logo. The Dusters’ home jerseys will also change, with a solid black base color trimmed in crimson with white lettering and numbering. The jerseys will be officially unveiled at a press conference in the near future.
The new uniforms will make their debut on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Amarillo Civic Center as the Dusters host the Oklahoma City YardDawgz.
Amarillo’s new website was launched Tuesday afternoon. It includes a variety of new features, including more pictures and interactivity. The website was designed and completed by KickN DesignS, Inc.
“The fresh website will enable fans to interact with the team more easily than ever before,” said Dusters Vice President Joe Morgado. “Having this new site design will be very helpful to the organization as we move forward.”
THE AMARILLO DUSTERS are a member of the 25-team arenafootball2 league, and part of the Arena Football family. The team front office is now located at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. Season ticket packages for 2009 are available by calling (806) 350-PASS (7277), and start at just $96 a seat.
