Never know...
Because the Bush-hating liberal Democrats I've met locally...are also big-time Rick Perry haters.
$50,000 reward if you know who did it.....
And they have video of the person throwing the flame onto the front porch.

AUSTIN — As construction and fundraising to repair the fire-damaged Texas Governor’s Mansion continue, an investigation into who started the blaze more than half a year ago drags on with no arrest despite $50,000 in reward money.
So the Texas Department of Public Safety, whose Texas Rangers are leading the arson investigation, is making another plea for members of the public to come forward with any useful tips.
“We are continuing to pursue leads but there’s been nothing fruitful thus far,” DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange said in an interview about the mansion arson case last week. “It just takes one good piece of information to turn it around, and the question is when we’re going to get that.”
Though few solid leads are coming in, there are no plans to increase the $50,0000 reward money that has been in place since last summer shortly after the June 8 fire, Mange said. She said there is no reason to believe someone close to the arsonist would turn that person in for an additional amount of cash.
“People have varying motivations,” she said. “We have people turn in family members and friends all the time for $1,000 through Crime Stoppers.”
However, if a private-sector company wants to offer more money, the DPS is open to the idea, Mange said.
Months ago the DPS released to the public snippets of video showing a man outside of the mansion the night of the fire. In one piece of video the person, who was wearing a Longhorns cap, can be seen carrying something that looks like a bag.
The DPS, citing the ongoing criminal investigation, has refused requests by The Associated Press and other news organizations to release more of the surveillance videotape. Investigators say unreleased video shows someone throwing a Molotov thingytail at the front porch, where the fire appears to have started.
