They knocked down the old Arby's on north access road...and the new building looks like it will open soon.
I never drive that north acess road...but saw this coming back west from Sam's yesterday afternoon.
Size and location makes me think a new restaurant.
Anyone know what is going in there?

I've been wondering that too, as well as what are they doing with the old Albertson's on 45th? They've started doing work on the parking lot and have a corner of it for sale.

I went in that TNT on 45th Saturday afternoon...and saw what you are talking about.
That blocked off area in the parking lot has the footprint of a small fast-food place.
My concern would be if they haven't leased or sold the old Albertson's building...that blocked off area might restrict access to the Albertson's lot from 45th.
They can't split that parking lot too much...or they will make it hard to lease/sell the Albertson's building.
Also...the old Albertson's at I-40 and Washington has a rather small parking lot...that could even reduce it's value as a potential office building.
I'm not sure if Amarillo has enough power in those locations...or a good enough internet connection in town to use those buildings as data-centers.
But filling them up with internet servers is one thing that does come to mind.

Yes, fill them up with Internet servers and give this town some WiFi! My entire business is online and it would be so nice if Amarillo had free local WiFi.

I'd think putting that on cell towers might be the best bet.
You can get cellular modems...but I could never user one for my home internet service.
That's because I get poor cell service in my house on the west side.
But I can go outside or sit in my vehicle in the driveway...and get all the signal bars.

I was told that a Walgreen's was going in the parking lot of the old Albertson's building on 45th and Western.

Wonder if they are going to remodel the old Albertson's building into a Walgreen's...
Putting a Walgreen's in the parking lot would pretty much make the old Albertson's useless.
I'd also bet the old Alberton's building contains some asbestos insultation.
