While on the topic of signals....
I have Dishnetwork, but found that the OTA antenna picture of the local channels are in beautiful HD! And I can route them to record on my DVR, and even get the on-screen guide for them. I was enjoying all the channels flawlessly for months, except for KAMR: it would lose signal every once in a while, sometimes so often that my DVR'd show would be unwatchable. Now, in the last month, it is unwatchable all the time. I believe I've found the reason, after much research: I think its the leaves on the trees. When the trees were bare, the signal could bounce through. Not anymore, though. Anyone else have any experience with this sort of problem, or suggestions? My antenna is a big one in my attic. I guess I could try to move it outside, but 1) too lazy, and 2) I think it's too ugly. Using an antenna amplifier only made it worse.

You could get AT&T Uverse. I wouldn't go back to dish.

What do you like about AT&T Uverse over Dish? It would make since for me to switch, because my DSL, home phone, and cell are all att.

The bill doesn't change every month! I don't have a satellite dish. AT&T people are friendly when I call. Rain and wind don't affect the signal. And I got a DVR for free. They will work with you to give you rebates also...especially if you tell them you currently have dish. The only downside is that Uverse isn't available everywhere, so make sure it's in your area.

Back to this about KAMR...
I have to say that I quit watching their news broadcast several years ago...
Except to catch someone like Bill Turner or John Harris for weather.
When Faith and Andy took over...their "news" turned into sugar-coated fluff.
They just take a news release that the City of Amarillo or anyone else hands them.
Then they just copy and paste that into their script...without questioning a thing.
That is NOT journalism.
KAMR news is mostly about being cute and funny and selling advertising.
