Went on Thursday night. Nice waitress, not busy, awesome Monte Cristo. Looks EXACTLY the same. Our waitress said they've been slow, especially compared to her old job at Texas Roadhouse.

Went to check on our patio cover at Dreamview and drove by as they were putting out the "open for business" signs. The s/o and I will take it in this weekend.

I read an article in the AGN several weeks ago that they were going to remodel.

We went Sunday and it was nice to see them back in business. We just had a hamburger so not much to write about there, but the atmosphere was ok, except where we were seated was right under an air conditioning vent that the wife didn't like and I was right under a speaker that the sound system was playing too loud. The music they play is contemporary which means that the singer repeates the title line how ever many times it takes to make a 21/2 - 3 minute recording and then the announcer comes on to say that was .... with ... as he repeats the title one more time to add to the 100 or so times you already heard it repeated in the song.
Turn the volume down please, I don't really care to hear Mariah Carey shreik at me. The table to the right of us was complete with crying babies and little kids who had to burn off energy by running around the place.
Still and all we liked our meal and feel that the atmosphere is a work in progress, but not bad for a place just opened.

We went. Same ole place that went out of business. Menu was lacking. Was very disappointed in appaetizer selection. Nothing new or exciting. I wonder how long that goes over here.

Has only been a few weeks ago that they weren't paying employees.
That was reported on the TV station websites.
And the Globe News article said the management blamed the economy.
Don't know on that one.
But I do wonder if the I-40 vacation travel traffic has been down.
Back in the '80s before Chili's and Applebees...Bennigans did very well.
Pay attention Amarillo and AEDC and WTAMU:
More white collar business jobs in town...mean more business for mid-to-high end restaurants.
Can't support more good restaurants with a retail store employee and fast-food Amarillo economy.
