Appears that Mike McBroom at WT still doesn't understand some fundamental concepts of college football: - Which is to sell out and get as many paying fans as possible in the stands for every game.
- Maximize football revenue by following point 1. above.
- You have to spend some money to make money by buying commercial time on TV and Radio.
- You need to have posters and schedules and promotional material in all the local stores.
- News coverage is NOT the same as advertising and marketing and promotion.
- The opening game is the most important game to gain momentum by having a full stadium.
- More paying fans means a LOT more money to run the university athletic department.
- More happy fans at football games is the best promotion to get more students at a university.
Mike...if you can't understand this...then it is time for you to move onto another job. WTF? >>>> Where are the promotions and advertising for the WT 2009 football season? It must be invisible because no one has seen it yet. I listen to the local Amarillo rock and pop stations...and have not heard a thing yet about WT. >>>> Why do you have nothing at all about WT football in the Amarillo Toot-N-Totums? **** Hopefully you get some stuff rolling by tomorrow or Wednesday...but it may be too late. Mike...for a Texas state employee...living off public money...you don't seem to be motivated. You took a public job...so your job performance is going be watched by the public and alumni.
