Kerbel needed a fast running back...and it looks like got a transfer player to do the job.

What a great time I had watching Pistol Pete and Joe Kerbel. And then came Duane 'the train' Thomas. Should have been the number 1 pick instead of the double murderer.

This picture of Pistol Pete with Coach Kerbel is buried on the WT school website.

They didn't even put a caption on it.

I think this picture probably dates from about 2 or 3 years before I was born.

They are standing about where the new fine arts building is now on the WT campus.

And the 4 story classroom center would now be between them and old main in the background.
