WT is barely growing at Division II. Division I offers many more opportunities for growth and more revenue. D1 is a path with growth potential. D2 is a path with limited and very little growth potential. D1 = growth D2 = staying small with no growth D1 = moving forward D2 = staying in place and living in mediocrity www.una.edu/pressroom/detail.php?id=438&date=2011-06-13

Thanks for sharing
The points made by UNA are good points. I had my doubts but I agree with yo W-T. D2 is quicksand.

They could start the fund-raising immediately. And I can guarantee they will get a lot more interest in Amarillo over D2. The fact that WT could play games in Lubbock against Texas Tech would generate enormous interest. ;D

You know the statements made by the UNA speakers in the youTUbe video are the same point West-Texan has been making, W-T I guess you feel vindicated? You have been ahead of the curb on this issue for awhile and you have taken some jabs but you r right. There is minimal growth for WT at D2. O Brien is a good president but for him to reach his goal of 12,000 enrollment he is going to have to be bold and get people to believe in WT as a D1 school again.

Comments from a North Dakota State fan. To a North Alabama fan about moving up to D1 from D2.
