- I question why they want to spend money to paint an overpass at 3rd and Grand.
I guess I can understand it on I-40...where visitors see it.
But the sort of folks who are around 3rd and Grand...
Are certainly not the type to care what color an overpass is.
An unpainted overpass does not have to be kept painted...so it will not peel.
Painting an overpass sounds like something our mayor lady may have come up with. - And about buying more groundwater rights:
That is scary with Lake Meredith is drying up...and Amarillo putting all its water eggs in 1 basket.
I've heard that we may have anywhere from 25 to 100 years of water left.
And what happens after that?
They have closed the Ogallala Aquifer in eastern NM to new agricultural wells to save water.
