Fat Cats is where we go. the only place where I've had a breaded and deep fried fillet that was still moist inside, not the typical shoe leather you get at many other places. It's a little hard to find, but I recommend it.

I second Fat Cats as the best. They got live fish in the back in tanks; can't get much fresher than that. As common sense would dictate, don't expect it to be good at Furr's (I had to try.) I'm anxious to try Willie's Bayou Grill in the near future.

It's across the street from the Johns Studio (hair dressing place) is all I can remember . Couple of African-American cooks in kitchen and a bunch of white retired folk hogging the tables and making noise all the time. LOL

IMO, how can you get lost in Lubbock? Most of our streets have only one name and are in alphabetical order. I go to Amarillo often enough that I got the streets that I frequent down pretty well, but get me off the beaten path and I don't have a clue of how to get where I'm going. Thank goodness, I can always find my way back to one of the Interstates.

1 of the highlights of my life was to go see SouthFork home of JR Ewing. We pretty much had the run of the place since we went in off season, took pics, etc. Husband said "last time we go there it's fly or nothing". He was sweating bullets driving the highways or super hwy.'s whatever U call 'em. Now, we're just 350 miles from there, but, guess still take a prop plane on the times we have to go to the airport to take a plane to Ind. Haven't mastered the Amarillo airport yet that's on my 'to do' list.

Mastering the Amarillo Airport won't be hard. But, I have a question about it.....
I have the opportunity fly in and out of a lot of airports across the United States. Airports of all sizes and shapes. However, I find Amarillo is the only airport that inspects your vehicle as you arrive at the terminal. WHY?
