About illegal drivers around here.
It's rare, but several times I have seen vehicles being driven around town with no license plate at all.
Doing it in broad daylight is very bold.
And I think some of the ones I've seen were not even illegal aliens.
2 or 3 weeks ago, white suburban right in front of me at the light on Paramount at 26th.

If you've been to Canyon already, you are probably up on most people in Amarillo.
It's interesting, but I think at least 80 percent of Amarillo people have never been to Canyon.
People who move in here or live in the surrounding towns are more mobile.
But a lot of folks who grew up in Amarillo and have all their family here often never leave the city limits.
I grew up in the Panhandle, and moved to Canyon after high school to attend WT.
We came to Amarillo for shopping all the time, so I know the town like I grew up here.
So you have probably been out to Palo Duro Canyon and seen the museum?
I can remember Canyon in the dark days before there was any Walmart there at all. ;D
Then all my friends and I moved up here to Amarillo after college.

I don't live in Amarillo or Canyon, yet I was in both today. Thank goodness the wind wasn't as bad as yesterday.

I live in Canyon one of the new subdivisions where the taxes are skyhigh hahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahah Called the paper wanted to know why I never got a TV schedule they said "you must subscribe". Can't believe they charge you for a TV schedule when you take the whole week paper. Up where I come from around Evansville, In you got the paper, they didn't charge U for the box and TV schedule was naturally included. Gees Louise. Found out the car inspection thing is every yr. Used to have it up in Ind but they done away with that racket.

Uh oh...the big city of Canyon. ;D
They do seem to be expanding to the north on the west side of I-27.
And they have that water tower out there that is actually north of the stadium.
When I was in college at WT...Canyon only had a handful of houses north of Hunsley Rd.
And when I started college...Canyon didn't even a Walmart at all.
Then things started to improve with Walmart and the new I-27 construction.
I still remember having to drive to Lubbock on the old road through Happy.
The highway patrol were fanatics in Swisher County with the 55 mph speed limit back then.

You could always count on the highway patrol to be at that little cafe in Kress.

The best place that we have found with good food, good prices and quality of their food is Pancake Station located on Virginia behind Home Depot on Georgia. Breakfast all day Steak-Mexican food-salads-burgers anything one would want. Always a wait but they are very organized and worth the wait for the prices and quality food. They close at 2 PM. Most reasonably priced restaurant we have found in Amarillo and we eat out all the time.

Who do you recommend for Mayor we vote early and have such a very odd mixture. Other than Harpole no nothing about the others we don't need someone like we have in the White House that got there by the biggest fraud in History once all is uncovered qbout him.

over in 'open discussion area' board under "who ever recommended' I was griping about the insurance agency I got when I first moved in here and how now I had changed over.
Politics I'll leave to the more interested. I vote to remove the intersection lights though. hate those spys. If I approach on green I'll just go ahead and wait for it to change red. LOL Hubbo will try and beat it and floor the gas !
