Make sure your fireplace chimney damper is closed to keep out a lot of noise. I also have doors that close in front of my fireplace. And if your damper is closed...you can always electrify the chimney cap if it is metal. ;D Hook wires from a fence charger to supports on opposite corners.

I got a man coming out that's gonna lay down sticky goo chemical on the cap and some 'snakes'.
one gal at walmart was telling me about real snakes killing her dog and biting her horse. Hope they don't come in suburban houses I'd poop down my leg. gotta ask the contractor about that
also, what's those big ol' beetles on the outside of the house? looks like Egyptian scarebs. LOL

I kill at least 10 rattlesnakes a year. Biggest one was over 6 foot.

I know some people who found a big salamander swimming in one of their toilets.
They have a PVC plastic sewer flushout in the flower bed just outside that bathroom.
Their neighbors have a little boy who noticed it and looked in the pipe.
And he just forgot to screw the lid back on it.
They all thought it was pretty funny...and fished the salamander out...and turned him loose in the yard.

I sure hope you are talking about a little ol' salamander and not a western diamondback!!! The diamondback is hard to kill, even if you slide over them with your brakes locked. I go back and slide over them 3 times, before I figure they are history!!! I tend to shoot them with bird shot at home. If that doesnt work, I take out the BIG GUNS!!
