Anybody know where there's a place selling home grown strawberries and not those Cal. berries that's in the stores ? Up where I come from in Ind they have been out for a week now and I can't find strawberry one around here don't make sense. I called the paper and they said that place at Sunset Ctr. don't even open till July.

Typically shark, this is too early in the season for locally grown strawberries. July is probably about the time you will see most produce coming off here.

Really ? I'm stunned. I thought Tx would be ahead of colder areas Thanks, I'll keep searching them down and hopefully by July will come across them. Indiana's have come and almost gone. go figure.

I tried raising strawberries once. The birds and the rolly pollies got about half of them but i sure enjoyed my portion.

Your strawberry patch has to be large enough that you can afford to lose some to bugs and birds.
And still have enough left over to sell.
