A couple of years ago,
I was downtown at Polk St, on a Friday night, and we saw a fox walking down a side street.
And I've seen possums several times up close at night in west Amarillo.
I've also seen cottontail wabbits, and we saw some bats in Canyon, when I was in college at WT.

I used to live in West Hills and saw one more than once. I was really surprised the first time. He ran across our headlights and my first thought was it was a really big cat (also rampant in the area) but then realized it was a fox. I'd never seen a fox in real life before.

I live in Paramount Mays and I have seen them several times. They look like a cat on steroids, they are smaller than I thought. I was talking to someone on my doorstep and one was just trotting down the sidewalk like noone's business.
I have had to have a possum that was playing dead for real removed from my front doorstep by animal control.

Wish somebody would find what kind of animal is dead and stinking up my garage or attic area. I can't find it and afraid to look for it to much not knowing what I'll find. LOL

Way back when I was in the 8th grade in the small town.
We had something die up in the ceiling at our junior high building that stunk up an English classroom.
Someone made a suggestion that the teacher might start taking showers. ;D
And she said she wished getting rid of the smell were that simple.
Fortunately that older building had windows that could be opened.
Their brand new junior high building there has fewer windows that may not open.

Pulled up in my driveway in west Amarillo last night.
And saw another possum snooping around my front yard.
These varmints are big and look like they are probably 12-15 lbs.
I was going to chase it, but he was gone into the dark by the time I got out with feet on the ground.
