I'm more of a burger and chicken fried steak guy than BBQ guy.
But I bet you can now find a place BBQ here that beats Dyers.
I used to go some to Dyers years ago with my college IT buddies after we all graduated and moved up here from Canyon.

believe it or not I like Feldman's in canyon. LOL think we'll get take out of a couple slabs for rick's b'day this month. country barn's is to peppery, famous dave's is to noisy can't hear yourself fart in there. I like Big Texan, but, always get steak in there haven't got ribs there yet. Locals don't like big texan but we do. Hoffbrau has the best steaks so far. Every Tues we go out and try to find a new haunt. I think for my b'day I want fancy so gonna try Macroni Joe's shouldn't be kids in there. Hopefully, it's upscale.

yeah, it was nice. to dark though. had a friend to join us and we sit there from 5-7 blowing off till noisy folks started coming in. LOL Wasn't as expensive as thought it would be. Think it all depends if you order appetizers, this that and something else. All alcohol drinks are gonna be high. We don't drink anyway,so, save a fortune there. We always beat the crowds by eating 4-5. they don't open till 5. Had the young man waiter to take pics of our table.

The wife and I splurged for her birthday and went to Hyushi. Sushi and calamari appetizers and a couple of rounds of coctails and the dinner tab came to $87.50 with gratuity. That itch didn't leave me with much scratch left. Bu I did like the place and our meal.
