Any opinions on the Uptown magazine in the paper? It's colorful and pretty, but doesn't do anything for me (yes, I am a guy. There was a copy sitting next to me while out-and-about). Seems to be for the ritzy woman that I don't know Amarillo has too many of.

I don't think it is for ritzy women... I glanced at the online version and seems they have some decent articles and ads that would be helpful for women new to the area...
You guys are just mad because it is most definitely geared towards women and women only...and there are no victoria secret type ads... not even a hooters ad!

Nope, not mad at all! Other papers around the country have women's magazines. There's no doubt it is one big advertisement, which is fine. This one just doesn't seem to fit the mold of the average woman who lives in Amarillo. Articles seem pretty good by the contributors. The goofy original content that is put in there could probably be deleted. Looking through it, I'm guessing that the writer "Beilue" is related to Jon Mark, who is king of the "big fish in a small pond" syndrome.

Nothing special. VS chicks do not have enough meat for my taste either.

I don't see that in Jon Mark at all, and I've known him for a long time. I think he's a good guy.
