Not moving on a green arrow is the driver's choice? Isn't a green arrow the same as a green light? I'd be willing to bet that not moving on any kind of green light would be as much of a moving violation as running a red light. The college educated engineers who design the traffic control systems and the taxpayers who pay for them would beg to differ. When the light is green they want you to go. The light is green because, as long as some yo-yo head doesn't run the opposing red light, it is safe for you to turn. I think what governs that situation is the Texas Department of Public Safety drivers manual.

all I know is for a girlie from Ind I've never seen so many choices (choices is bad hahahha) at the Tx stoplights. you got a red light plus U have a green arrow pointing left too. I say mmmmmmmm does that mean I don't go or I can go since the arrow is green but red light means the boogey man is watching with the MF 'eye in the sky' watching me to boot. Like John Travolta used to say in 'Welcome back Kotter' yrs ago "I'm so confused" hahahahhahahahah ROFLMAO
