Those of us with sweaty cowboy hats and you-know-what on our boots call that hobbling horses....and one mule.....when there is no hitching rail to use.
Come up to a neighbor's home....you stay in the saddle till he comes out and invites you to "light and hitch....."

This is the McDonald's just off I-40 and Western.
But I've been downtown at lunchtime.
And went through the drive-up a few times at the Burger King on the Boulevard.
Saw the same bunch parked outside there at least twice.
