The Bozeman, Montana metro area population is 92,000. The Amarillo, TX metro area population is 250,000. Montana State (FCS) raised $10 million for a stadium expansion in less than 3 months. That is more than the WT Buffalo Club has raised over a period of many years. Compared to that...the WT Buffalo Club is just playing around for fund-raising. The WT Buffalo Club could and should be raising a LOT more money. ;D But all we hear are lame excuses and CAN'T DO IT from the Buffalo Club. Will the Buffalo Club and WTAMU learn from this? Failure is not an option at Montana State in Bozeman. ;D www.greatfallstribune.com/article/20110104/NEWS01/110104006/Bobcat-Stadium-s-10-million-project-moving-forward

This is how a university does real fund-raising. ;D This is how you get people involved and get things done. 1. Setup website for project. 2. Tell the public and alumni everything about the project. 3. Collect money. 4. Keep people informed of progress. 5. Get project done and move forward! WT and the Buffalo Club don't do any of those things. Of course that's why WT has trouble raising money without increasing student fees. ;D www.montana.edu/EZ/projectoverview.php

You, west-texan, say that the Buffalo Club should be ashamed of its fundraising....My gosh, you don't have anything to brag about yourself....You've already said you don't support it....Yet you want others to raise millions and you won't give a dime....It's hard to cast a stone when you're sinner.... Question: If WT went D-I, would you support the program?....Or wait to see what level it takes?....
Based on your previous statements, any level of support above a hot dog and coke at a game would be a big step for you....

WT gets no extra money because they don't ask for it. WT gets no big corporate sponsorships because they don't ask for it. WT refuses to ask for money to renovate Kimbrough. WT refuses to ask for money to build a new football field-house. WT wants to do everything with student fees. Why? Because WT does not want the public involved. Schools like Montana State ask for donations...and they raise $10 million in 3 months. ;D WT does nothing...so WT gets no extra money. The Buffalo Club can't even raise $1 million dollars a year. WT has no clue about real fund-raising. WT doesn't even care if they fill the football stadium or not. Why would anyone want to give money to WT? The WT athletic program is not going anywhere or progressing. WT football is in exactly the same place they were 5 years ago. WT football is like a car spinning the wheels fast while sitting up on blocks. ;D

As long as WT wants to do nothing...and stay in exactly the same place forever.
Why should I give WT any money? ;D
If WT will make a solid plan to move onward and upward.
And ask the public and alumni for money.
Then I will give money.
But I will not give money for WT to stay down in D2. ;D
No progress and no movement = no money for WT.
For direction...WT is just muddling around and going nowhere right now in sports.
1. Are we any closer to a national championship...NO.
2. Are more fans going to WT football games...NO.
3. Are we still winning the conference in football...NO.
4. Are we raising more money...NO.
5. Have we renovated our football stadium...NO.
6. Have we built a new football field-house...NO.
7. Is WT football better off than it was 5 years ago...NO.
8. Does WT market and promote the football games...NO.
9. Does Amarillo support WT like Lubbock supports Texas Tech...NO.
10. Do I see a reason to keep supporting the same OLD sports direction at WT...NO. ;D
