More stay small Division II crap. Brought to you by Michael McBroom and the Stay Small Buffalo Club. McBroom needs to resign as WT athletic director. A 10 game schedule is high school stuff. And WT is supposed to be college football with an 11 or 12 game schedule. This is why D2 sucks so bad at WT. And the Buffalo Club just loves thousands of empty seats at WT games...right? www.gobuffsgo.com/news/2011/1/24/FB_0124110311.aspx

Not so fast there W-T. The Buffs are trying to fill that open week. They even have an offer for a home and away series posted on D2Football.com.
WT is in a bind here because the changing in conference and MIAA not playing OCC games. One way or another that open week will be filled. Then your going to have this knee jerk Thread staring right in the face.

This illustrates a HUGE PROBLEM that McBroom has at WT.
LACK OF COMMUNICATION.
They threw this schedule out there like it was the final schedule.
They printed this in the Amarillo Globe News like it was the final WT schedule.
There has been nothing said at all about looking for an 11th game.
Where did you hear that?
Rumors through the good ol' boy network?
The rest of the world has not heard that.
All it takes is 1 sentence that says WT is looking for an 11th game.
Until WT says that...then all we have are rumors.

west-texan, why don't you inquire first before you blast WT and McBroom?....It's common knowledge that WT is still looking for an opponent to fill the open date....It has been discussed openly but since you don't attend any WT events or talk to anybody at WT, you're woefully uninformed....
You just saw it as another opportunity to gripe....That's exactly why you got banned from the D2 message board....

During our last Good Ol Boy meeting, right after we did the secret hand shake, we secretly plotted to exclude you from the open week scheduling information. But before you get angry we did it to give you something to write about on your message board. See we do care.

Like I said. Until WT says it in print...it's nothing but a rumor to the rest of the world. Most people don't go to the back-office meetings of the good ol' boy network. And most people don't have time to go to their little WT luncheons. And we should not have to call the little D2 people in Canyon to find information. Does it really take that much time to type a quick press release? Why not just say they were looking for another game when they put out the schedule? LACK OF PROPER COMMUNICATION. ;D

Just because something has not been printed, doen't mean it hasn't been discussed or is being discussed....
Even it had been printed, you would have made it a ridiculous issue and blamed it on McBroom or the Buffalo Club or Debra McCartt or Subway or Johnny Bob's or your underpaid job or whatever else is unpleasant at that moment....and then post a photo of Lake Meredith drying up....You really need a life....
You know, I like being a part of the fictitious "good-ol' boy network".....Knowledge is good....

I'm not the only one who has talked about lack of communication from McBroom.
And the entire Buffalo Club attitude is hostile toward those who want something better than D2.
Your tone keeps proving my point.
And no I'm going to give money to keep WT down at D2.
Come up with a plan to do bigger and better at WT...and I will be interested.
Until then...I don't want to be part of your bunch.

Interested....Thought you said you couldn't afford it...
And the BC is not hostile to anyone who wants better....The BC is a big reason that WT athletics are good....

WT athletics are so good...that the Buffs can win. But the fans at Kimbrough are drying up just like Lake Meredith. Because so few people in Amarillo care about D2. Yep...things are going just great in Canyon...or are they? Football attendance has been going down since McBroom became athletic director. And the Buffalo Club doesn't have the cajones to talk about the thousands of empty seats. This game against East Central Oklahoma had 14,700 empty seats. At $10 per ticket...that is $147,000 that WT missed out on that beautiful sunny afternoon. What to do about the problem? Do we downsize the stadium? Or do we man up and move to a level that more fans in Amarillo will care about? Maybe McBroom and the Buffalo Club are not smart enough to handle a move to D1...right? ;D

McBroom claims to have an advertising degree from SMU. But the little guy has still not learned how to communicate in writing. ;D Because people are still having to wonder and guess about the WT 2011 football schedule. And people should not have to go the Old Goober Network luncheons to get information.
