Beilue: It's true! Noted actor moving to Amarillo that writer for the globe news printed this big story of actor Matthew McCougheney moving to Amarillo. Everybody said it was just a leg puller since he started each paragraph with a p r i s f o o l why would he do that? I haven't figured out if it's a true story or not. LOL Attachments:

Hopefully he had McConaughey's permission. I can't imagine a newspaper knowingly printing an untrue story about a private citizen, do something like that and you're libel to get sued.

I never did see anything more about it , if it was true or not. Can't imagine a star wanting to live outside of the East/West coast.

They would have been found dead of boredom within a week had they moved here.

that thought was expressed over on the amarillo/globe news comments page and didn't go over so well. Why I thought it too, but, didn't want to pick my teeth up off the floor and say it in here. I pay a fortune for these teeth. LOL ;D

McConaughey owns a ranch in San Angelo area. His brother runs it. Guess Amarillo is more of a hot spot than San Angelo....I know the plane connections are better and Santa Fe is a lot closer.

The nice thing about Amarillo is that it is close to some places to go for entertainment and you can always come back here to escape from it. If you get bored, hop on a southwest flight for a weekend in Las Vegas, Denver, DFW, OKC or points south and east. There are lots of Hollywood celebrities that have moved to out of the way places in Montana and Colorado. When they get bored with the hiking and fishing they can afford to fly anywhere to whatever destination they find exciting.

This Matthew McConehead thing was wishful thinking and wishful rumors.
That appear to have been started by some Amarillo women on Facebook.
As you can see...I can't even spell the guy's last name.
And buying a house in Wolflin?
It seems that South Wolflin is now the power center of Amarillo.
With the mayor, most of the city commission, & most of the downtown committee members living there.
Along with the owners of Amarillo National Bank.
Some of the mini-mansions there even have gates.

Ponderosa?
I hadn't though about Bonanza in a long time.
Pernell Roberts died not too long ago...and he was the last guy left from that TV series.
Because Dan Blocker and Lorne Greene and Michael Landon have all been gone for a long time.
