There are snakes that chase you, but I don't think there are any around here...unless you count sj and wt.

No, this happened (?) up in Ind. yrs. ago he's no spring chicken so probably been 30 yrs. ago he still remembers it. I just never heard of a snake going after you like that. Always believed they didn't want any part of humans, etc. Attachments:

I stepped on a blue racer once when I was a kid at my cousin's ranch in SD. Looked to me like the snake used his racer instincts to place distance between me and itself, not close it. But that one encounter doesn't make me an authority on the subject. But most animal instincts are for flight. I have heard the African Black Mamba is an aggressive snake that will not retreat from an encounter with a human.
