Rush said that NBC execs told Trump to go ahead and run and they could run Celebrity Apprentice just fine without him, and from that instant he said "the NBC execs owned him". That was the reason why he didn't run and wasn't going to all along, but he had us all on just fine.
Newt Gingrich may just have set a world's record for the shortest presidential campaign in history. I do not understand the guy - he is baffling, but he is so yesterday he isn't worth any further notice.

I just read your quote from Will Rogers. I have long felt that the place to start with deficit reduction is not with another new tax, but with a new government. For the most part of the 20th century, America has emulated a parliamentary form of government, since about 1932. The elections of 1964, 1984 and 1996 were the biggest waste of money ever. If America were to adopt the parliamentary system, abolished payroll tax withholding and passed a constitutional amendment that forbade government officials from exempting themselves from the legislation they passed for the rest of the country we would not have the mess we are dealing with today.
