LOL somebody is living large.
I saw the ugliest frog down here the other day ewwwwwwww it was all gray and looked like it had bristles on it's back and I think it was a horned toad. Ind. just has green frogs or that's all I ever seen up there.
Does that area have poison ivy ? anyone know ?

That was a horned toad. Totally harmless. They are a protected species I believe. I haven't seen any in a while.

If it looked like this, please don't kill it. They are totally harmless and they eat red ants and fire ants.

If you hold one in the palm of your hand upside down and tickle it's belly, it's defense mechanism is to spit what looks like (and may be blood). Like wse1 said, please don't harm them. There are fewer and fewer every year.

Sj, I don't even want to see that. Shark, I would kill the snakes too. Snakes have no use whatsoever!

It's illegal to even pick up a horned toad here in Texas. If you look closely over it's right eye you will see a small opening where it does indeed shoot out blood as a defense mechanism.

Thank God smart heads prevailed and it looks like no fireworks will be allowed under penalty of law. We can sleep this yr. He was gonna circle the house with water hoses to protect our house and stay up till it was over .

If there any American Indians who still know how to do an authentic Rain Dance. We need to hire them to come to Amarillo and Lubbock and West Texas.
