By the way, is it allowed to use a hands-free while driving?

Look! Without hands! ...*boom* ;D Did anyone see the lunar eclipse a few days ago? Yeah, I know it's an off topic, but since there's not that many users and since what I'm going to do right here doesn't worth its own thread, I hope you'll just assess my little silly story of how I watched the lunar eclipse

I'm afraid to ask what U would be driving with if U didn't use your hands. ;D I once saw an older lady driving west on 34th between Bell and Coulter in Amarillo. What caught my eye about her was...that she was driving while she was knitting. Apparently she was able to keep both hands on the wheel and still work knitting needles with her hands. Just when you think you've seen it all. ;D

takes all kinds. Oprah must be crying over the veto of the texting and calling on cellphone thing. My position is...when does it become YOUR right to kill innocent people by your reckless and unnecessary behavior. When U get into a car it's not suppose to be fun city, go to chuck e cheese for that, your suppose to pay attention for the other idiots, bicycles, darting out between cars kids, etc. I witnessed a fender bender , in fact, we were right behind a old man who got hit by a young Mex girl talking on a cellphone right where you turn into the mall off of Coulter. I wanted to wait for cops and give my witness account to the law but hubbo didn't .

You know what, guys? My companion has a son who's in the military right now. The son has a particular time for a few phone calls. And it so happens the time is when my companion and I are on the road driving to the rendezvous with other people who can't wait. So my companion--who's a driver--talks while driving. But he's a professional with a huge experience and the situation is so delicate so I just can't say him,'Hey man, drop the phone'.

I'm not sure if it's under the laws to phone while driving in Russia, but actually I can confirm it could be dangerous, because I saw many times how people lose attention on the road. But what do you mean when you talk about the "phone distraction"? Is it losing attention or more like driving by one hand? If it's about attention, then I believe talking via phone is the same like talking to your friend who sits next to you. As to driving by one hand, it's allowed--in Russia anyway--to use a hands-free garniture for your phone so you can hold the wheel by two hands.

yeah, guess those things U plug into your cigarette lighter in the car to be able to talk on your phone wouldn't be as bad as actually holding a phone in one hand to talk or using both hands to type would be. I'm glad to get away from my phone, frankly, I don't like pressure. LOL I don't like loud music in all the stores either. I feel sorry for women who go out to shop and leave their kids at home with somebody thinking they're gonna have a little peace & quiet only to go into the grocery and listen to loud rock music saying one phase over and over again. LOL drives me mad ! You just want to be able to think in peace. I've hit the door many of time when you got loud music blaring , couple of squalling brats in carts screaming over and over again you can hear the little ***** all thru the store, p a system blaring 'price check', etc. I go to a less busy store and tune back into my brain. ROFL
