This is just another of several ways that a university generates the revenue to pay for D1. And the University of Central Arkansas is a school that moved up from Division 2 to Division 1. It's all about being smart with a clear vision for the future and moving your school forward. WTAMU has nothing to gain by staying at Division II...other than trying to stay small. ;D www.ucasports.com/sports/2010/12/17/FB_1217102634.aspx?path=footballAtop the building will be a fifth floor featuring the 12 luxury suites, 300 sq. ft. each, that will be accessible only through an elevator and entrance exclusive from the rest of the residence hall. Each suite will feature indoor and outdoor seating that can accompany 20 fans, giving them a comfortable and luxurious setting in which to enjoy Central Arkansas football. The suite level will also contain a sports lounge area, restrooms, storage areas and food prep areas. "The design features twelve luxury suites with full amenities to include two flatscreen TV's, ice maker, refrigerator, locking cabinets, and 20 tickets," Teague said. "There will be a sports lounge for a gathering place where the various patrons can visit. All skybox access is totally exclusive from the residence hall and vice-versa." The suites lease for $25,000 a year with a 10-year commitment. Nine of the suites were spoken for at the time of the initial announcement, and commitments have already been solidified for 10 of the 12.
