Santa was good. We had snow that is almost completely melted now, but it was pretty while it was here. I got a blu-ray player and the entire collection of Harry Potter on blu-ray. I see a marathon in the future. Was Santa good to you?

got a new coat with 2 zippers I can't figure out how to work.LOL You have to step into the **** thing. 1 zipper at the bottom , then U got another at the top, one of those 2 way deals, but, I can't figure out how U can put the coat on without having to step into it or go over your head. LOL QVC items that sparkle, etc. I keep qvc and hsn in business. Hubbo got 2 gift certificates from boss to use at area restaurents we went out and spent one today. On the Border, he's not much for that fare. LOL Other is Olive Garden he likes that place. This is the first yr. poor soul ever got anything, so, we're tickled to death to get 2 free meals. ;D

Yeah, I saw that too in paper. Glad the Sears in amarillo survived and the K mart in Lubbock. Can't believe the Walmarts could had hurt those stores that much. Walmarts clothes are cheap and fall apart after 2 washings. I just buy sit around the house and work in the yard clothes from there. Nice clothes I buy at JC penny's, Dillards, cj banks. Sometimes Kohl's. I do so much buying from QVC & HSN too though. All kitchen small electrics, etc. Don't know why we can't have a variety of places instead of walmart hogging the market and pushing out other places to shop.

I think the retail economy in the Panhandle and for the state of Texas is pretty good. I come into contact with Wally World management from time to time and I've heard that the store on south Coulter was one of their best performing units in the system.

I can believe that ! That store is a madhouse. I prefer Canyons. Earlier you go the better before the crowd hits. You can hear yourself think.

The retail economy is pretty good in Amarillo for the low to midrange price stores.
But if we had more white collar corporate jobs I bet we'd have an even better selection of stores.
