I noticed a new one is being built at Ross and the Claude Highway. Another place to stop when I come to town.

Hey girl I hit the Ky Kmart while I was up there LOL Ind don't have any, Evansville area anyway. Henderson, Ky is just over the line there so made him drive me over. Hope they don't go under. I'm afraid for Pennys now they got rid of that loser CEO,now, if they can get back their base. One up in E looked like the Goodwill. I ran over to the Alfred Dunner side and did the best I could. All stores are going to the teenagers and tweenies anymore. Us old farts don't have much to choose from. Wish Macy's would come to Amarillo. I spent the morning peeling off the dark tint plastic, so, we won't get another ticket. He'll raise hell, but, tough I'm not gonna roll the window down everytime we see a federally. stupid, just take the crap off and lesson learned.

I noticed a new one is being built at Ross and the Claude Highway. Another place to stop when I come to town. Were you lost? Your assigned location is Lubbock. But you have been wandering around in the mysterious no man's land between Amarillo and Canyon. You must have cut your electronic ankle bracelet off so you could sneak out of Lubbock without the police knowing you were gone. I know that's got to be what happened.

Don't you be telling all my secrets. I've become very adept at sneaking up to that no man's land. And next week, I plan to sneak over to Palo Duro for a day on Tuesday. Be very careful W-T...I am everywhere!!!

I stopped in at the new store on my way out of town tonight. (Had to get back to Lubbock before curfew!) The only complaint i have is that they only have one bathroom. Why didn't they build a men's and a women's? You Amarilloans short on bathroom funds?

I got lost on I-27 going towards canyon, trying to find canyon when I first moved here. Sign said 'Canyon 9 miles', Ok, I didn't veer off for some reason after awhile I saw a sign saying Happy, plainview, Lubbock I hollered what happened to 'Canyon' low on gas, no cellphone on me. Turned off at Happy, mercifully, found a gas station where they still pump your gas for U asked the old man "do I get back on 27 till I see the canyon or amarillo turn off to get to canyon"? He turned around pointed at this road that he said used to be the main drag before they built 27 and said "this will take U straight into Canyon". Boy, I was glad to come in on 23rd st. in Canyon!!!!!!!! These Tx. interstates are long, lonely , deserted drags. I thought a serial killer was gonna get me or something. LOL Now, I make sure I turn off on the canyon turn off!!!!!!!!!

That's pretty funny. I do occasionally use the old Hwy 87 and tie in at Happy. Especially if I decide to stop at Braun's on the way home. We don't have Braun's in Lubbock. But, when I am coming home from 1151, I go the back way and tie in at exit 103. Totally miss Canyon.

;D hahhahah since I've been here I've noticed amarillo kind of disses Canyon, but, a lot of folks are moving out to the burbs here from there. Houses in my subdivision aren't on the market for a week they get snapped up and I don't live in the less then nice areas either. It's not the Colonies , but, it's not bad. LOL We were shown the Colonies by our real estate broker, but, I looked at the closeness of the houses and ran screaming back to the car butt end to butt end. I don't have a water bill, so, that's a big plus. No way am I living on a quarter acre and listening to other people's wild yahoo's scream all day, etc. Randall county is getting another small prop tax increase. We're not far away from ours being frozen due to 'old age', so, hope, they hold off any more raises.

Phantom gets around. She knows about all the new places in Amarillo before most Amarilloans do. If we see a construction site we usually figure a convenience store, a branch bank or yet another place to eat.
