I was driving in Amarillo today when one of my relative placements called me on my work cell. Being the diligent worker that I am, I answered the phone and as I was talking, I realized that I was breaking Amarillo's new cell phone law. Luckily for me, no policemen were any where in the vicinity so W-T does not have to come bail me out of jail. My Randall County Sheriff friend told me the law isn't in effect until signs are posted. Maybe W-T can help a Lubbock friend out and take the signs down once they are posted.

Seemed like in amarillo it was gonna take 30 days to go into effect but I'm pretty sure it's already in effect in Canyon. There's a sign on FM 2590 going South there on the right hand side of the road before you get to the Hunsley Rd. turnoff to go to walmart. Says "no emailing, texting or other apps fine 200.00". Won't affect me I don't believe in it anyway. I feel sorry for real estate agents, Dr.'s, people that I can kind of excuse for blowing off on phone, but, teenagers and people who just want to gab can wait till they pull off the road or go home and gab.
