I know IRS taxes SS for Federal tax, does Tx. have a state tax on SS benefits ?

Texas does not have a state income tax.

Very interesting when I was researching online this question concerning SS checks. (Not that old yet LOL but it's in my future hahahah) I read where because we have that required car inspection sticker, that takes the place of any State tax that might be levied on SS benefits. Isn't that sad that they tax what you make when you make your money, then, when you get old to draw your own SS they tax it again. Something isn't right about that..... Yep, property taxes are a whopper down here agreed. My husband is glad that in 2 yrs. his will be frozen. He can get on Medicare too in 2 yrs. that will save a monthly bundle. Our insurance is horrible !!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless your are Medicare elgible when Hubby qualifiies, you will need to keep your insurance plan.
The estate tax..."Death Tax"...is one that needs to be fixed.

Yeah, he can get booted out of our BCBS in 2 yrs. but we'll still have to pay 350 for me monthly till I can catch up with him. I'm a much younger woman hahahahahahah ;D by that time it will probably be much higher even just for me alone. One yr it jumped a 100 a month ! this yr . just went up 6.00 We were over joyed. I will be 30 on Dec. 23rd hahahahha 'December Fool', not April Fool
