That street between Coulter and Western is awful...Wonder if the city will buy me some new shocks?

34th...going west from the Coulter light...has about a 1/4 mile...bumpy stretch in there.
You can be going east from Soncy to Coulter...and just past the Sonic...you'll start noticing it...and have to slow down.

The problem with those areas...is bad soil...and it's usually old playa lake silt...that just keeps settling.

Even I 40 is screwed up. They just need to replace the roads with concrete and then they won't have much problem!

They had an article in the Publication Not To Be Named (PNTBN) about that the other day. The city says they don't have the funds to fix it right now, or some thing like that.

Heh, "PNTBN", or Publinotbena, or deeudder'n? Yeh, I'm so ticked at the 'P' that I wanna set another home page that has Amarillo in it.

When I was new to Amarillo when I ventured down Hillside, my first thought was "who were the idiots that put in this development - it feels like they paved the streets first and then sunk the water mains after". I thought that they must have had to dig up the streets after they were freshly paved because the tar strips were so evenly spaced, and about the width of a water main.
They need to roto mill a couple of inches of blacktop and overlay it. It made me sick to see relatively new pavement cut up like that.
