Interesting stuff jeep. I think you can some good stuff in towns with brick streets.
Have you thought about Borger and Plemons? I would think with your eye you would come back with a lot.
Canadian and Clarendon come to mind was well.
Keep sharing with us.

great pics jeepers...... I'm not a cat person.... but the guard cat looking at you all serious was pretty funny. Ya'll don't shoot me.... first a Taco Villa confession and now this.... I really like the brick streets... ducking now!! But really.... I do have plenty of other positive attributes to make up for those two faults! And how long has the Worley Hospital been out of commission? It seems like we went to visit someone there when I was a kid?

I'm still trying to figure out the funky white door up on the 3rd floor of the old hospital. Was that the escape hatch...or how they fired employees...and made them walk the plank?

Canadian and Clarendon come to mind was well. Keep sharing with us. Unless you are bullet proof, I would avoid the ghost town of Plemons completely. It is located on private property that was formerly owned by the Whittenburgs. I was friends with them as kids and went out there once, but they had an overseer who was kind of a lunatic gun-wielding redneck. I think that man has now passed away and the Whittenburgs no longer own the property, but the new owner has evidently been possessed by the spirit of the old man. Evidently, he is a real jerk and will not let people come onto his property, gun toting and all. That's what I have heard, anyhow. Also, I heard that he bulldozed a lot of the old buildings, just to keep the curiosity seekers away, including the Post Office, the Jail, and the School. That is a shame because it was a part of the history of the Texas Panhandle, which is now gone forever.

Fantastic pics,Jeep! Really enjoyed them. I still have family in Pampa and lived there for many years. My nephew works at the Central Fire Station. I was a police officer there for several years in the '80's. Always loved that old Worley Hospital. Been inside many times since it closed, and once when it was still open. Check out my Urban Exploration blog and pics at: exploration-page.blogspot.com/Here's some more interesting pics of Worley from old postcards: You can enlarge them here: zulu55tx.tripod.com/mypics/

I think that old hospital has been shut down...at least least since I was back in high school in the late-70's to early-80's.
Because...they had like a 3 or 4 story modern white building...that was Coronado Hospital...but I'm not sure that is still open.
