Does he honestly think no one travels outside the panhandle and can see what is going on!!!!!!!

Wonder if the attorney generals office has ever looked at him!!!

Someone in the article said wholesale prices were at $2.80...... so I guess the retailers outside the panhandle like Dallas and San Antonio are screw!ng themsleves??

I understand the issues with the refineries etc... BUT... no one on this planet can convince me that Greg Mitchell isn't driving the market here....and yes the other local chains are right up there with his prices... but hell why not...Mitchell is making them money too!!

Which brings another thought... his sister is the mayor here... now I'm not sure what shape the city was in before she took her position... but since moving back I see that gas prices and house & land values are OUTRAGOUS here... but pay is low compared to the rest of Texas... then add the article in the paper can't remember the date or names but made a comment that lead me to believe that Amarillo is intentionally being held back from growth...basically because they don't want the growth... but this article was speaking for old blood.

IMO Amarillo taxpayers aren't getting what they pay for and deserve.

The economy here sux IMO....Everything going up but wages......Where I work, we are paid 5% lower than people in the same field in several different locations.......

As many as those stores get robbed, you would think he would take some of his profit and build a locked in room with bullet proof glass around the registers...That is how they do it in Dallas....I only go to Pak a Sak........

Speaking of robberies I know that one of his robberies saw an employee get killed. The store did not even shut down for a day. It was reopened hours after the crime.

I'm sure the minute the police released the scene it was back open... and GM was probably bugging them the whole time trying to speed them up... I'm trying to be nice about your comment rick...but I can't...so I guess I should leave it alone... greedy people suck!

The t-n- t on 3rd and Western was robbed a few years ago. The man working was deaf...The reason he got killed was because the robbers thought he was ignoring what they said. He could not understand them and got killed...And yes that d**n store was reopened within a few hours...Greedy people do suck BayBay....

Another Web site, with prices provided by volunteers in various cities, is www.GasBuddy.com. Its prices are updated continuously. The lowest prices in the state, according to the site, were in the Rio Grande Valley and along the Gulf Coast. The highest were in the Panhandle. Prices posted as of late Tuesday:
Amarillo, $3.36
Dalhart, $3.30
Tulia, $3.29
Edinburg, $2.69
Bay City, $2.67

It amazes me that some people think that GM does not completely control the price of gas in Amarillo. It is hard to compare Amarillo prices with prices of gas in other states, because every state's tax on gasoline is different.

But when we are paying 37 cents more than Dallas, you can't tell me that something is not going on.

I can assure you that there will be no government investigation of this as long as the Republicans control the State and Federal government. GM's sister has no authority to investigate.

Even if she had some kind of authority to investigate him...she would not do it...Texas Attorney General could investigate...if they just would.

The article was just wrong... or I should say the sources are wrong.... you can tell by looking at prices in all the areas it mentioned...

The gas was 7 cents cheaper last night...in another Panhandle area town...north of Amarillo.

$3.29 in the very small town versus Mitchell's $3.36 in Amarillo.

Please remember...if you shop at TNT for anything, not just gas, you are contributing to the problem. Until we can get a full-fledged boycott going, it will make no difference.

Please shop at Pak-a-Sak, Taylor's, or any of the independents. I am always amazed when I drive by a TNT and see people shopping there.

I will go in some TNT's to refill a 44oz fountain coke cup....but I try to always buy gas at Walmart.

I haven't decided on Pak-A-Sak and Taylor's yet...since they won't compete with Mitchell on price...and just always match.
