Heres how i think 3-4 a will pan out
1.Randall (it KILLS ME to say it but they have the most talent coming back) 2. PD- great talent as always and great defense coming back spearheaded by that all state LB 3. Pampa/Hereford- Winner of that game makes playoffs. Hereford took a huge hit to graduation in the form of Casey Page is gone. Hard to over come that considering their Defense was sub par and was basically useless against the run. Without him they dont overcome that. Pampa's athletic ability is down. I think Trimble is going to improve dramatically just because of experience. But his targets are going to be limited just like last year. Running game isn't going to be as good either 5. Dumas- Better but not much they may surprise people and move up to 4th place depends on their D 6. Caprock they are going to be forced to adjust to a new program and in a few years may make a rise but not this year

That is an interesting list pride. You could be right on. The scribes down state are picking Hereford to be strong this year and win the district. It will be a neat district to watch.

With so many key players that Hereford lost, do you really think that they will contend for the district title?

Let’s just say that from experience tails usually lands that most. Strange but true.

"Call the coin in the air......" I have to say I dont agree. The district will be weak again this year like it has been, and Hereford may be in the race. BUT I still think that with as many yards and points that the Herds defense gave up last year, and no Casey Page to pick up the slack they will not make a 3-peat. I do think they have a shot at playoffs but not the number 1 seed. To all the Pampa fans that will eventually get on here dont start roasting on me because I didnt pick them to win it all. I hope they do but i just dont see how they can. "Tails never fails"

Pampa played much better than I expected but then again Randall and PD also did well those games are going to be interesting.
Pampa will see how they measure up to Hereford this week against Estacado (a much improved from previous Estacado teams)
Who does PD and Randall have this week?

First Fearless Prediction of the 2007 Football Season: District 1 2A....Stratford will go to the play-offs but not as district champ. The top spot will go to Canadian or Panhandle. However, Coach Metcalf will have the Elks in play-off mode and will be successful for a few rounds when they get there. Canadian wins district. Stratford and Sanford-Fritch play for second. All three are going to the play-offs. Pardon me while I flaunt my First Fearless Prediction... ;D (Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.)

Seriouslly SJ I'm not making fun of you but, your "fearless prediction" included stratford going to the playoffs. Thats like saying Southlake Carrol will make playoffs haha. I'm pretty sure if there was ever a year Stratford didn't make they would load up the bus and go to the field where the team they are supposed to play is. At which point they would probably go ahead out onto the field and begin warming up and what not. The only choice the officials would ahve is to let them play. Therefor Stratford is never left out of playoffs.

but he did however correctly call that canadian would win district
i was wrong about my number two and three but i did call randall winning it all and i did say dumas would be alot better than we thought originally and would surprise some people.
i also fear that this next prediction i am about to make is almost inevitable.
Pampa appears to be headed back to the dark ages before Cav. Ironically (sadly) it's his son leading them. The talent is down and it may take time for young AC to figure out a formula that works. I think he can but I wonder if the Pampa faithfull will let him stay around long enough for it to take hold. We arent the most warming bunch ;D
