I'm still thinking about my favorites.
However, did you read where Frenship is putting in a program similar to Southlake Carroll. Age 5-12 league that runs the high school offense and defense with the league coaches supervised by the high school coaches?
I think Celina does this as well.
What does everybody think?

Frenship has always had a good team. I think they want to play with the big dogs.

Permium used to do thsi also. Amarillo does this in middle school. Kids inc although a good program will never duplicate this. WTYFL ages 10-12 is a very compettive league. The kids play on teams inside their high school districts. But not all teams have any high school systems intergrated with them. One does. Bushland. They run a very similar offense to what the entire middle and high schools run.

Give Bushland some time and I think they will be one of the perennial powers in their classification in the area.

First Fearless Prediction of the 2007 Football Season:
District 1 2A....Stratford will go to the play-offs but not as district champ. The top spot will go to Canadian or Panhandle.
However, Coach Metcalf will have the Elks in play-off mode and will be successful for a few rounds when they get there.

rena, Texas High School Football preseason ranks Permian #40 in state and #10 in Region I. Not bad. It's where you finish though....

I have always like the Panthers. We lived there when I was in 6th grade. I had the opportunity to see them play Midland High School...It was awesome.....

I'll always remember a play-off game I saw Permian play in Jones Stadium in Lubbock. This was in their glory years. The entry of the team to the field for warm-up was so well planned and choreographed it had to be worth 7 points in the game. The team they were to play stopped their pre-game activities and watched Permian come on the field...Mojo at its best.
I all started with loud drum roll coming from somewhere up on of the entry tunnels to the field....then a period of silence....anothere drum roll....this was repeated several times. Then the drums really strike up and here comes the band with the cheer leading squad and spirit dancers.....no music just bad stuff percussion. They have enough bodies they completely surround the field and the other team. All begin to chant, "Here Comes Mojo...Here comes Mojo." The team they are about to play has stopped and is watching the proceedings when the solid black clad Panthers come down the ramp.
Permian beat a much bigger Lubbock Monterey team 26-7 that day.
