LOL, movieboy08, believe it or not, I am old enough to have remember a year, maybe two the Elks did not make the play-offs. Coach Metcalf has an outstanding program established that makes them competitive each year.
Think about this....I have had conversation with person(s) familiar with the area reclassification for 08 and have been told there is a chance Stratford, Canadian and West Texas High may drop to class A competition due to drop in enrollments below 200. That would shake up both A and AA.

Well A has been expecting it since the last realignment I thought. So I'm guessing they just kinda lived it up in the absence of their opressor. Here we go again with Stratford making it to State year after year after year.

While Stratford will be a worthy opponent to anyone they face during the play-offs, I don't see them making it to the finals. I am sure they will be ready each game and will not beat themselves. There are some very good 2A teams out there that will have to be addressed.
Childress (again)
Canadian (again)
Idalou (perhaps the toughest in Region One))
Bushland (probably in bi=district)

I was talking abou tif they get moved back down. I don't see them beating Bushland. I mean while it very possible I think Bushland didn't like what Muleshoe gave them a taste of last week.

Week ten? HELLOOOOOOOOOO!!! sj where fore art thou? I'm not as good at it. I'll only be able to find like 4 teams. And thats cause they are playing eachother.

I'm sure the Elks will be coming back down but don't think they will win state every year. There are some very good programs in 1A. Not everyone is shaking in their boots. They did win two state championships while they were down with us but we (Sunray) were 4-4 in the last 8 meetings. Great respect for them and their program and I'm looking forward to getting the rivalry fired back up with them. Now, if Canadian comes back down along with them then things can get really interesting.
