We ate at the restaurant in Lubbock Sunday evening, although I didn't order the Monte Christo sandwich. Both of us had a good dinner including a couple of house margaritas for $18 bucks and change. Nice atmosphere and good service, we liked it and will look forward to the location opening in Amarillo.

They do have a good Monte Christo. And if you like desserts, they have a chocolate dessert to die for.

I really like the Cheddars in Lubbock. I hope the one in Amarillo is as good. Course I will wait till the crowds are a little thinner to try it out.

I went by there around 5:30 p.m on Friday and there was at least 20 people waiting outside to get in!

I tried to get their phone number in multiple ways and it was completely unlisted. (I wanted to get a to-go order of Monte Cristo.) So, I went up there and sat at the bar to order. I was completely ignored for 10 minutes, despite me trying to catch the eye of the 7 employees milling around. By the time I was aknowledged, I was so disgusted that I just left.

Dang.... that sucks.... was wanting details on the Monte Cristo! But I don't blame you for walking. Sounds like they have some kinks that need to be ironed out... like weeding out bad service employees. Did you speak with the manager?

That happened to us when Roadhouse opened...We waited and waited and noone came to our table so we left...I blamed it on them being new, busy and young...We went back a few weeks later and it had settled down and the food and service was great...Give it another chance bdub....

We went last Thursday. We went kind of early because of another obligation that evening. There was a line when we got there but we waited maybe 10 minutes for a table. Certainly no longer than we've waiting anywhere else. I had the Monte Cristo and DH had steak and shrimp. Both were excellent. Our wait staff was very attentive. When we left though, the line was out the door. So it might pay to go a little early if you can.
I'm sorry your attempt was so bad bdub but we didn't have the same experience. Maybe it'll be better for you next time.
