Sheriff Willard and his sidekick buffalorunning meet west-texan. ;D Son...I better never ever hear you talk about anything bigger and better than D2! They would probably ask me to leave for talking about Division I at WT.

No, they would ask for a plan and how you would propose getting there without wasting all your time on internet forums.....

Right now WT is doing nothing and just spinning wheels while sitting up on D2 blocks.
But a great logical plan for moving to D1 is:
1. WT says publicly that we want to move to D1.
2. People in Amarillo say they'd rather watch D1 over D2.
3. WT says publicly that we need money to move to D1.
4. WT starts fund-raising drive to move to D1.
5. WT keep public and alumni informed about fund-raising progress.
It has worked for Lamar in Beaumont to start a D1 program from scratch.
So are you trying to tell me that Amarillo is not as smart as Beaumont or Lubbock?
If Lubbock can support D1-FBS...why can't Amarillo handle supporting D1-FCS?
I've already shown you how Montana State raised $10 million in less than 3 months.
Are you trying to tell me that the Buffalo Club is not smart enough to raise more money? ;D

Here's how you do it:
Put your plan on paper....
The you and your buddies who you say want this so bad make an appointment with McBroom and present it....
Be sure it includes a plan to cover the red ink in the budget....It will be there!
Otherwise, don't waste time on the internet....

Red ink? WT had only on 5300 people at the last home game in 2010 on a beautiful sunny afternoon. 14,700 empty seats! At $10 per ticket...WT missed out on making $147,000 revenue that day. Then add in all the red ink from the lost concession sales because of D2. D2 is nothing but red ink. And WT refuses to even talk about D1. And the Buffalo Club refuses to raise more money. D2 is nothing but red ink at WT. Then if you add in losing hundreds of new students to Texas Tech every year because of D2. Then D2 is nothing but red ink for WT. ;D

If D1 is so lucrative, why isn't every D2, D3 & NAIA trying to move up to get a piece of the pie?....
Once again....Here's how you get something done....It's real simple and you seem to know all about it:
1. Put your plan on paper....
2. Then you and your buddies who you say want this so bad make an appointment with McBroom and present it....
3. Be sure it includes a plan to cover the red ink in the budget....It will be there!

Most D2 schools are in little bitty towns that could not afford D1. WT is in a metro area of 250,000 people in Potter and Randall and Armstrong and Carson Counties. If places like Beaumont and Lubbock can support D1...why not Amarillo? ;D Cover the empty seats with paying fans and the red ink goes away. But the Buffalo Club and McBroom love D2 because they love empty seats. ;D And the Buffalo Club only make a half-way attempt at raising money. Then of course the NCAA facts show that FCS has better attendance than D2. fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/Attendance/2009.pdfFCS: D2:

If D1 is so lucrative, why isn't every D2, D3 & NAIA trying to move up to get a piece of the pie?.... And or course you ignore the fact: That both Abilene Christian and North Alabama are making plans to move to D1-FCS. ;D And Tarleton has D1 in their strategic plan. Which means at D2...WT will get left behind.

Third time....Here's how you get something done....It's real simple and you seem to have all the answers:
1. Put your plan on paper....
2. Then you and your buddies who you say want this so bad make an appointment with McBroom and present it....
3. Be sure it includes a plan to cover the red ink in the budget....It will be there!
Nobody is opposed to considering D1....Including McBroom & O'Brien....
But it absolutely has to make economic sense with the plan to include upfront money to get started and long term commitments to cover deficits....Not just corporations carrying the load, but also nonsupporters and whiners like you have to do something they've not done before: cough up some money....If you think going D1 automatically guarantees prosperity, you live in a bigger dreamworld than I thought....

For someone who claims to be from the Buffalo Club...you are completely ignorant of fund-raising. ;D 1. WT has to say they want to go to D1. 2. WT has to start a fund-raising campaign to go to D1. 3. I have already shown you how Montana State raised $10 million in 3 months. Until WT starts talking about D1...no one is going to give WT any money. ;D It appears the Buffalo Club and WT are not smart enough to do real fund-raising.And they should know about deficits...because D2 with no fans is nothing but deficit at WT.Pay attention and learn...because this is the plan for how you raise money to go to D1.

Fourth time:
Third time....Here's how you get something done....It's real simple and you seem to have all the answers:
1. Put your plan on paper....Not copy/paste of someone else's....
2. Then you and your many buddies who you say want this so bad make an appointment with McBroom and present it....
3. Be sure it includes a plan to cover the red ink in the budget....It will be there!
Obviously, McBroom & others have never ever even thought of all that stuff....You're way ahead of the curve.....
If you can convince them, then it's a start.....
So accept the challenge.....Lead the way.....Grab the bull by the horns.....Get after it.....Get in front of those who will make the decision.....

You are ignorant of fund-raising...but you claim to be from the Buffalo Club? ;D
1. WT has to start the fund-raising campaign.
2. WT has to start talking about D1 to get people to donate money.
What part of that do you not understand?
Unless WT starts talking D1...they will never get the money.
WT and the Buffalo Club will have to raise the money.
Why are the Buffalo Club and WT too lazy to raise money? ;D
