Hello my peeps, how are you hanging?
I'm the Russian guy who first posted here 13 years ago while doing my research on the city of Amarillo. I had a penpal from here and later proposed to her. It never happened though, because in 2017 when I came over to see her again, she texted me. She said if I showed up at her door, she would call cops on me. Never seen her ever since. It was a kick in the guts.

It's the kind of fly that lay its eggs under skin of horses, pets and humans. You can watch some videos at youtube. Not a really pleasant view.

Hey, it's me I'm gonna get to Amarillo again at the end of this year. This time I'll visit the Palo Duro canyon if it's open at that time. Looking for more places to visit in Amarillo and neighborhood. If you know such places don't hesitate to tell me, please I get to Amarillo on 30th of December from Oklahoma City and then back on the 6th of January.

Hey shark It was really hot in everywhere I went, in Texas too. In Russia it's hot too right now, but it's different. I can't explain it, but it's different. Unfortunately, I didn't visit the canyons, the Great Canyons neither, because had no time. I should cut off one day from my plan and that day was with the Canyon. The green corridor is when you have to drive slowly, because if you go too fast you'll stop on red, but if you go not that fast, the red becomes green right when you come to it. I didn't see any movie stars in Los Angeles and actually I don't care about them The only thing that was interesting for me in LA was The Last Bookstore I visited in downtown. The bookstore isn't like in Russia. There were people reading their own texts and others were listening to them. It was interesting, but they didn't have an a/c inside On the way back to Dallas I got stopped by police because of reckless driving (I was hurrying to the airport). When the officer had seen I'm Russian he said he's not gonna give me a ticket, because I'm a tourist. I had a hard time to find a place where I could buy a cake, until I got to the United. It was nice in Amarillo after all

Did you say,' kid'? Man, he's 24 already. I saw the news at DFW airport and didn't believe there's another shooting happened on the US soil. I was in Amarillo, by the way. It's a nice calm city, especially in downtown, I guess, where you have to go 30 mph to catch the "green corridor".

Well, when there are such idiots on the roads, you have to have a really big car to feel safe.
So what about places to keep away from in Amarillo? One day, I saw a TV show where some American, that moved to Russia, talked about cities in the U.S. where you'd better not stop on the red light or else you'll be shot and thrown out of your car.

Shark, I've found what you mean: Country Inn & Suites. They start from about $93 plus tax provided I book it 14 days in advance.

No safety rails to keep you from going off the edge, just a steep fall. I kept hugging the drivers side and screaming at husband what if we meet somebody , no way can we back up ! I wouldn't like to get in the same situation Are American officers strict with foreigners if it's about breaking rules on the road? I've been thinking here and I bet I should ask where to NOT go in Amarillo as well. So what areas had I better to avoid?

The reason was Ad Muncher software that I use to block all Internet ads. But I don't have a solution preventing Ad Muncher from blocking the whole site.

What's the name of that motel across from Furr's on Soncy right on amarillo blvd. ? Drury Inn & Suites Their prices start from $110 plus tax Well, I plan to accomplish a couple of missions that I was assigned by KGB and Amarillo is just a place where I meet an agent. To be serious, I'll meet with my pen pal. The approximate time of my arrival is 5 pm. On the next day, at 2 pm we'll drive to Los Angeles stopping by different sights and attractions. We also plan to visit the Yosemite park in the North of California. What can I do in Amarillo? I know there's an amusement park
